![]() If you take the folder out and update accordingly, you won't have to worry about updates messing up your game aside from EA bugs. The majority of those posts are from people who updated without removing their mods folder and/or haven't updated their mods. There are master posts that go up after every update that list the mods that have been cleared for use and which ones need to be updated. ![]() Mods needing to be updated is just part of modding. ![]() Almost every mod I have downloaded and 'how to mod' videos I watch have a section that tells you that you need to remove your mod folder before you update the game. I make up little challenges to keep the vanilla files interesting and I find it funĮdit: Also, I know posts about the game breaking can be alarming, but the frequency of them makes modding seem more dangerous than it is. I take my mod folder out completely, update the game and play on my vanilla file until the mods are updated. I have a few others for challenges and stuff but that's not important right now. I have a few different save files, including one for testing new mods to make sure they work, one that's the vanilla game, and one that's all the mods I know I love to use. ![]() If waiting to update your game doesn't appeal to you, you can try what I do. Then you can just keep playing the un-updated game until the modders you follow have updated their stuff. This can be avoided by setting your game so that it doesn't update automatically. ![]()
